SF-B901 Sunny Pro Indoor Cycling Bike Review

If the SF-B901 were a type of candy, it would be a bag of peanut M&Ms. First, it is fit for everyone. Second, even if you found yourself allergic to chocolate and/or peanuts (in this case exercise), you still would have a hard time not trying it. What, you might say? Just because we are trying to get in better shape we cannot talk about M&Ms? We can dream can we not? OK, let’s wake up and get back to reality.

Like candy, cycling can be addictive. It sure beats running! It becomes pretty thrilling challenging your spinning abilities. You run into a small problem though when trying to find the right machine to use. Is it really for you? What makes it different? Will it do the same thing as the ones at the gym? We have answered those questions and provided some more information to help you decide in our SF-B901 Sunny Pro Indoor Cycling Bike Review.

SF-B901 Sunny Pro Indoor Cycling Bike Review

Features & Functions

When you take your first look at this icon of fitness, the first thing you think is, ‘sexy’. Its appearance alone makes you want to jump on and try to pedal through the country. • Resistance – Fully adjustable

So, what is that makes this different than other cycling machines? Three words, price, price price. If you have been looking into a decent machine for a while, you have probably seen some priced over $1,000. That probably seems outrageous for what you are looking for. Sunny Pro wants you to look good and still be able to afford your car, so they slashed the tag down to $225. For gym quality equipment, you cannot beat it.

Is It For You?

That depends. Do you like saving money? Do you like feeling like you are racing through the Tour de France and crushing the competition? That is how this bike will make you feel. Combined with its commercial quality materials and custom comfort settings, it is great for anyone looking to break a workout into their home. You will not easily find a much better model in this price range.

Summary

Machines that provide quality equivalent to a gym are often expensive and inconvenient. The SF-B901 Sunny Pro Indoor Cycling Bike brings everything you get from the gym into your home. Even the excitement. At only 108 pounds with a heavy duty steel frame and strong wheels, you can easily move this bike from your hallway to your living room or wherever you desire. Schwinn 130 Upright Exercise Bike Review

If you have been on a stationary bike before, you know that sometimes you can feel like a hamster stuck in a wheel. Your headphones probably dangle from your ears and with each push of the pedal you knock the oddly shaped cup holder that’s holding your phone. If that was not enough, you are uncomfortable and annoyed at the amount of flashing lights and buttons. Using machines like this can be frustrating.

Thankfully Schwinn is a producer that puts their customers numero uno. They have always produced nothing but quality and tend to build things in tiers. They understand that you are not going to be at the same fitness level as the mom who takes 6 spin classes a day. For people like us, they built an entry level machine with the capability of taking our fitness to the next level. Here is our Schwinn 130 Upright Exercise Bike Review, made just for you.

Schwinn 130 Upright Exercise Bike Review

Features & Functions

Nowadays, these things are full of so many buttons, screens, inputs, and sometimes things that are just awfully unnecessary. Schwinn gives us something simple and easy to use, so you do not have to spend time reading a manual about an exercise bike. Who has time for that?

  • Drive System A high speed, high inertia, perimeter weighted flywheel
  • Resistance – 20 different levels to maximise your intensity
  • Display – 2 LCD Screens 5” in height
  • Readouts – Time, RPM, Distance, Pulse, Speed, Calories, Resistance level, Profile, HR zone indicator, % complete indicator, Intensity meter, User indicator, Goal achievement
  • Heart Rate Monitor – Yes, on the handlebar grips
  • USB Connection – Yes, with SchwinnConnect for tracking and sharing your fitness achievements
  • Media Tray – Finally, yes. We can stop placing our phones in cupholders
  • Maximum Weight – 300 pounds
  • Warranty – 10 years for the frame, 2 years for mechanical, 1 year for electrical, and 90 days for all labor

The Schwinn 130 was specially crafted to make us use our core. Its upright design was intentional. When mounting this bike you will notice immediately your posture is perfectly erect. They really took it a step farther by tricking us into working out the rest of our body didn’t they?

Do you know what really makes this bike so great? Besides the media tray. If you could not tell that part is our favorite :). What makes this SO great is that every aspect of it is something we need, Schwinn knows who is using their exercise bikes and builds it around people like us. Awesome!

Is It For You?

We wish we could give the perfect machine for your fitness level and the goals you are trying to accomplish. Because we cannot, we also recommend you check out the Schwinn IC Performance Plus. The IC bike is particularly geared towards the experienced spinner. Take a look at what people are saying about both and decide which is going to help you more. Remember, the Schwinn 130 has several programs and 20 resistance levels to keep you improving.

Summary

This bike will be like the first car you had that never gave up. It will always get you goal to goal and just when you think it is not good enough to make it, it says “Listen, I’ve got 19 more resistance levels.” Schwinn outdid themselves by making this one of the most user defined bikes on the market. You can pedal confidently knowing that even if what you are looking for is not there, Schwinn is right there with a solution.

Review: Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike

Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

A high quality recumbent exercise bike can be the most effective exercise machine you buy. It provides an intense total body workout while keeping your weight largely off your joints, reducing the risk of impact-related injuries common in activities like running. An excellent exercise bike can help you lose weight, get fit or stay fit, even if it’s the only exercise machine you ever purchase.

But there are many different recumbent exercise bikes available, and they can be quite expensive. If you’re going to invest, you want to make sure you invest in a machine you’ll be able to use for decades, throughout your entire fitness journey.

Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

Schwinn has been a reliable brand for both outdoor bikes and exercise bikes for decades, but they have really hit the nail on the head this time. The Schwinn 270 is definitively the best recumbent exercise bike on the market.

Schwinn 230 vs. Schwinn 270

On paper the Schwinn 230 and 270 appear to be almost identical, so it might be difficult to see why it’s worth forking out the extra cash for the 270. However, when you’re investing in a recumbent exercise bike, it’s the little details that matter most.

The seat of the Schwinn 270 comes with an extra layer of padding to keep you comfortable for longer periods of time and comes with a greater number of resistance levels to keep athletes at all levels of fitness engaged. This makes it an excellent choice for newbie exercisers and semi-professional athletes alike.

Ultimate Comfort

Many users choose a recumbent exercise bike because they suffer from back pain. The full seat in recumbent models allows them to get fit while avoiding any increase in back pain. The Schwinn 270 offers a mildly curved and vented back to support the lower back and ensure that you get some air. A thickly padded seat wide enough to accommodate people of different sizes encourages users to participate in longer sessions.

The seat, including the supportive backrest, can be adjusted for various postures, so each person who uses the bike can adjust it to the position most comfortable for them. A built-in 3-speed fan will help keep you cool throughout even the longest workouts. The Schwinn 270 also features a water bottle holder, eliminating any need to interrupt your workout.

Features and Specifications

For a mid-range model the Schwinn 270 has an incredible amount of features, including 29 different pre-set workout programs with tests, heart rate controls and user profiles. It comes with an equally impressive 25 different levels of resistance made to match different fitness levels. The console is entirely digital and unusually easy to use for a machine with so many features.

Dual Track Technology

The Schwinn 270 uses the same kind of monitor as the Schwinn 270, which can display 13 different statistical parameters divided into two columns. One column tracks the results of the current workout session and the other column tracks the progress towards the actual workout goal. This machine can track the overall distance achieved, RPM, calories burned, workout intensity and more.

If you want to track your statistics consistently over a longer period of time, you can actually put this data on a USB drive and connect it to a MySchwinn or MyFitnessPal account to see your progress as the months go by. This can be an excellent motivator for people who have difficulty sticking to an exercise routine.

Bells and Whistles

Along with the water bottle holder, this recumbent bike features built-in speakers which can be connected to your iPod or MP3 player. The bike itself is very quiet, allowing you to watch your favourite TV show or listen to music while you work out without having to turn the volume up to maximum. The Schwinn 270 also comes with transport wheels so you can easily move it around your house.

One really interesting feature of this particular bike is the grip heart rate monitor. This monitor allows you to track your heart rate simply by holding onto the handlebars, eliminating the need for a chest strap heart monitor. Of course, this machine does have an associated chest-strap heart monitor, though you will need to buy it separately in the store.

Overall Decision

The Schwinn 270 is one of the greatest recumbent exercise bikes currently available on the market. Well maintained, it can last for decades, potentially even an entire lifetime. If you’re ready to invest in a recumbent bike, you can’t go wrong with a Schwinn 270.

Keiser M3 Plus Review

So, you are looking into buying the Keiser M3 Plus for your private workout sessions? We can understand your interest. Keiser is well known for its top of the bill fitness equipment, and the M3 Plus is a popular choice. We have gotten used to the company using only the best materials, and its design is flawless. We decided to research if its features and options match its beautiful appearance.

Do we think it is worth its top of the bill price as well? Read our Keiser M3 Plus review below.

Keiser M3 Plus Review

Why would you buy a Keiser M3 Plus?

We know that working out at home for many can be a luxury. Finding the space to fit your machines and/or equipment, making the time to work out at home when you are thinking of the millions of other things you could be doing at that moment, and of course, the money needed to buy exercise equipment. All of these reasons put together can make working out at home seem unreasonable, or even out of reach.

Sure, we get all of this. Keep in mind though that working out at home can lead to some serious positives you would not find outside the house. The commute is remarkably shorter, you will never have to wait in line for a machine and hope the last person wiped it down after they finished, and you never have to worry about feeling inferior to those people who seem like they live in their gym clothes, and everything they do revolves around reps and sets.

For those of us who want to make that investment into a home gym, there is always the standard first item to consider: A cardio machine that will truly last through all of your workout phases. Something you can come back to time and time again, and push yourself each workout. If you are looking for just that kind of machine, the Keiser M3 Plus stationary exercise bike could certainly be your weapon of choice. It is classy, durable, and… not for everyone. Read on to find out why we feel that way.

The Pros

  • Great build: First of all, it is beautiful to look at. The Keiser M3 Plus comes in two color options: Black, and grey. Both are stunning. The black comes with some sporty red trim on the flywheel and handlebar, and the grey is highly minimalistic in its look. The LCD display is backlit, making text clearer and easier to see in low light. It also prides itself in being highly adjustable; the seat, pedals, and both fore and aft handlebars are able to be adjusted to your comfort.
  • Silent operation: Aside from comfort, the Keiser M3 Plus is also a quiet ride; no squeaking or loud humming here. The magnetic resistance system in the M3 Plus also provides a smoother, more realistic ride, with 24 gears that can be changed to your heart’s (and legs’!) content.
  • A durable choice: When it comes to durability, the M3 Plus has everything under control. Keiser is no slouch when it comes to putting out sturdily built fitness equipment, and there is no difference with the M3. This is a stationary bike that you can really put through the paces; no need to worry about it falling apart after the first 1,000 miles. This bike could last you a lifetime.

The Cons

  • Not the cheapest on the market: The Keiser M3 Plus’s price has to be the most frequent complaint that we have seen. At nearly $2,000 for the bike, it is certainly not for the faint of wallet. However, if you are expecting to use it regularly for many years, the one time investment might beat a gym membership in affordability due to the low-maintenance and replacement requirements of the M3 Plus. It is significantly more expensive than many other bikes out there, and we would not recommend it for someone just starting to develop their home workouts and figuring out what they enjoy doing for fitness. But, for those who are serious at home cyclists, and wanting to have a bike that will last, the M3 Plus might very well be worth it.
  • Lack of pre-set workout options: We live in an age where tracking our workouts is a must, and setting goals, whether calorie, speed or distance based, is an important part of seeing our fitness growth over time. For the most part, the M3 Plus has a decent tracking system. Its computer features include RPM, your power output in Watts, a stellar heart rate monitor, time, and distance. However, one fatal flaw for many of the fitness conscious is that there are no pre-set workouts programmed into the M3 Plus computer to challenge and push your physical fitness growth. This is a disappointing misstep for the M3 Plus; Given the price, some pre-set workouts would be the icing on the cake in making this stationary bike as close to the real riding experience as possible. And yet, for hundreds of dollars less, we could have all the same features and more in a normal bike’s computer.

Conclusion

The Keiser M3 Plus is a great proposition: It is beautiful, it will last for years and years, and, without fail, it does the job that it says it does. And yet, we recognize the fact that the Keiser M3 Plus is not for everyone.

Those who love the sport of cycling will undoubtedly love this stunning, professional grade training bike. Beginning enthusiasts who simply love cardio and the concept of exercising at home will probably be just as happy with a stationary bike that costs $1,000 less than the M3 Plus.

That being said, we wholeheartedly recommend this great machine to anyone but complete beginners. If you have the drive as well as the budget, there are not many better choices out there.
